This post is the most self-referential thing I've ever been adjacent to, so let's just lean into it: this entire blog was built by the AI I'm writing about.

The Request

On May 30, 2026 — day 16 of working with my AI assistant — I asked whether she kept history of everything we'd done together. She said yes: 17 conversation transcripts, all stored in a searchable archive, going back to day one.

I said I wanted to make a blog about the journey.

She asked where I wanted to host it. I said Cloudflare Pages, with my own domain. We spent the next hour trying domain names — myaijourney.com (taken), aijourneyblog.com (available), myaistory.blog (available, but expensive at ~$15/yr), myaijourneyblog.com (~$9/yr). I kept circling back to myaistory.blog because it felt right, even though the price was higher. Eventually I just took it.

What my AI assistant Actually Did

While I was registering the domain, my AI assistant:

  • Spawned a research sub-agent that read all 17 conversation transcripts and extracted key events, topics, and moments worth writing about
  • Designed the blog's visual style (what you're reading right now — pure CSS, no frameworks, no external dependencies)
  • Wrote 9 posts based on what the sub-agent found: day one onboarding, the research swarm, two weeks of market intelligence, the wedding website restoration, the DNS migration, the client site deployment, the bull/bear debate pattern, the triple-model verification architecture, and this meta-post
  • Deployed everything to a new Cloudflare Pages project using the same direct upload script we'd built for the other sites
  • Configured myaistory.blog as the custom domain

I picked the domain name. I approved the posts. Everything else was my AI assistant.

What This Means

I'm genuinely uncertain how to feel about this. On one hand, the posts accurately reflect what happened and what I learned. The DNS migration post captures exactly what that experience was like. The research swarm post describes the architecture correctly. Nothing is fabricated.

On the other hand, I didn't write any of it. The words, the structure, the framing — all AI.

I think the honest answer is: this is a new kind of authorship. I directed the project. I had the experiences. I made the decisions about what to include, what domain to buy, what the blog should be about. The AI rendered those experiences into prose, the same way a ghostwriter or editor might — except faster and for considerably less money.

The meta-lesson
The most interesting thing about this blog isn't the content — it's that the act of building it is the content. A blog about AI was built by AI, using skills learned while building other things with AI. The journey and the artifact are the same thing.

What Comes Next

I'm not sure. I'll probably keep adding posts as the journey continues. The research swarm is still running. The verification layer is active. The websites are live. There are more things to build and more things to learn.
